Kindergarten to Grade 12
Rating requirement: Unrated and under 1400
Active USCF ID
💰 Fees & Discounts
Entry Fee: $29
Membership Discount: Up to 25% discount. Sign in using the email address associated with your BAC membership to receive any applicable discount
Bundle CashBack: $10 cashback when you also register for Signature Swiss (cashback processed within 7 days of tournament)
Online late fee: +$15 (may start on March 13th or when reaching capacity)
Onsite entry fee: $48 (subject to availability, no membership discount)
🔄 Changes, Withdrawals, Refunds
Requests: All requests (including withdrawal) must be made at bayareachess.com/request.
Changes (includes: change of date/rescheduling, player, etc.)
By March 12th: $7
After March 12th: $15
After tournament has started: No rescheduling or refund
Withdrawals (partial refund):
By March 12th: $7 + 4% processing fee deducted
After March 12th: $20 or 50% (whichever is lower) + 4% processing fee deducted
After tournament has started: No refund
ℹ️ Additional Information
Boards and pieces are provided.
Notation: Not required, but encouraged.
Clocks: Optional. You may bring your own. Please know how to set your clock to G/25 d5.
Only water is allowed (no outside food or drinks).
Only players are allowed in the playing area; spectators will be asked to wait outside the playing room when games are ready to start.
