Eligibility for prizes: Players must play at least 2 rounds to be eligible.
A player who withdraws during the tournament is not eligible for prize money.

Active USCF ID required.
đ Byes & Play-up Rules
Byes: ÂŊ-point byes available for any round; maximum 2 byes.
Byes must be requested at least 30 mins before that round's start except for last round byes; last round bye must be requested latest before Round 3
Play-up: Players may play up one section. Double play-up is not allowed.
Unrated players may play up to any section.
Play-up Fee: +$17 (in addition to entry fee).

Notation is mandatory â please bring a pen/pencil to record your games.
Clocks: Not required. You may bring a clock; BAC does not loan clocks except during the last 10 minutes of a round. You must know how to set your clock to G/60 d5.
The TDs may place a clock on any game that is not progressing on schedule.
Food & drink: Please do not bring outside food or drinks; only water is allowed.
Playing area: Only players are allowed in the playing area. Spectators will be directed to leave when games are ready to start.

Requests: All requests (including withdrawal) must be made at bayareachess.com/request.
Changes (includes: change of date/rescheduling, player, etc.)

After tournament has started: No rescheduling or refund
Withdrawals (partial refund):
By March 19th: $7 + 7% processing fee deducted
After March 19th: $20 or 50% (whichever is lower) + 7% processing fee deducted
After tournament has started: No refund
